Only a couple...: ...Of hundred things, but by far the most common is a viral illness. Within that category, there are literally hundreds of viruses that cause those symptoms. It's not always important to determine exactly which virus is the culprit, but it is important to see your doctor or a dermatologist and make sure it isn't one of the many other possible diagnoses.

Agree with Dr Eastern. Important to know how long the fever has been present, when the rash started, where the rash is(only specific area, all over and what the rash looks like),kare there other ill contacts, daycare or not.
