Please help docs! is pancreatic cancer fatal all the time or just the majority of the time?

Specializes in Vascular Surgery
Not always: The type of cancer and how large and invasive it is at the time of discovery all factor into the mortality rate. Some cases are curable with surgery. Others, unfortunately are not. An oncologist will be able to look at the cell type and other factors to give a more precise answer for an individual case.
