Yes: The diagnosis of bronchitis is made by a physician, from a thorough history and physical. It is generally a self-limiting inflammation of the airways in the lung due to an upper respiratory infection. In general, it includes a cough that last at least 5 days and is associated with sputum production. Wheezing may also be a symptoms. Pneumonia can develop from bronchitis.
