i have hypothyroid & anxiety. my neck often feels tight, like i need to stretch it out or cough. ultrasound 2x and no nodules. could be stress?

Maybe: Since anxiety, "nerves" or irritability can indicate hyperthyroidism, make sure your thyroid is tested. The same endocrinologist or your pcp can examine you to determine the nature of your neck symptoms and guide you from there.

Different people : Take out their anxiety on different parts of the body. Common figures of speech reflect this tendency, i.e., "it's a pains in the neck, " "i need this like a hole in the head." you may take things out on your neck. In therapy it is a good idea to learn to relax and pay special attention to the part of the body that you tend to focus anxiety on.
