Mgt: It may be an upper respiratory infection, but if there is a fever for more than two days, distress, poor feeding I would recommend seeing the ED. Using nasal saline and gentle suctioning is advised. Infant tylenol (acetaminophen) may be given for fever.

I wouldn't: An extensive study of cough cold preparations has shown they do nothing of importance in kids under 6. They are a reason for thousands of ER visits due to overdoses each year. If you need to do something use a vaporizer & give extra hugs.
