Good options: Both are good options. It will depend on safety profiles and the need of using steroid with zytiga (abiraterone acetate) but not for extandi. Discuss further with your oncologist to select which one is the best for you.

Both valuable: Both of these drugs have shown remarkable benefit. We have more experience with zytiga(abiraterone), so i prefer this drug but you will likely benefit from both as they have different mechanism of action.

Consider Provenge (sipuleucel-t): Provenge (Sipuleucel-T) should be considered in chemo naive patients, probably before Zytiga (abiraterone acetate) or Xtandi. It costs about $100,000 at present. If you decide to bypass the immunotherapy, just remember to give prednisone with the Zytiga (abiraterone acetate). Both can deliver several additional months of survival.

If asymptomatic. Provenge approved before Zytiga and Xtandi (etc) out so may not have been approved in current environment.
