It's how you sleep through the night without eating for eight hours. "The brain does indeed need carbohydrates for fuel," Taubes says, "but the body is perfectly happy to make those out of protein, leafy green vegetables

Do people dread cocktail parties because of what they do to their weight or see them as free food now?

Funny : I'm not sure what you're asking. Some people dread cocktail parties and some don't. For those who do dread cocktail parties i would imagine that the reasons are varied. Btw, people can manage what they eat and drink on their own. The presence of free food and drink does not force anyone to eat or drink it.

Not true: He may have an active metabolism and not gain weight by eating junk food but, like anyone else, his overall health depends on solid nutrition. Eating excess sugar, fat, and salt can prevent him from getting the proteins, "healthy" fats, vitamins, and minerals his body needs for proper growth, repair, and prevention of disease (such as infections, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer).

Dr. Dan Fisher answered

All of it: Eat everything but eat a lot. High calorie foods frequently. Usually high fat foods are the most dens and should be eaten in addition to regular meals. There are 3500 calories in 1 lb of fat. Look at the labels and count them up to your desired weight. Do not forget to exercise as you go unless you wish to be solid fat.
