My a1c test was 5.9 if i continue to eat as i please is there a good chance i won't get diabetes? i am 52 years old. if not how long b4 i get it?

GTT: You are not diabetic at this time. To check for prediabetes you can have a glucose tolerance test to see how your pancreas handles a glucose load. It's a good idea to lower your carbohydrate intake and maintain normal weight if you want to avoid type 2 diabetes. Some people never develop diabetes despite poor diets and obesity but you may not be one of them.
