my upper cx spine will "pop" randomly about once/day when i turn my head. 5-10 minutes later i get a headache, relieved only by advil (ibuprofen). no dizziness.

DJD spine pinch nerv: Guess is you have some degenerative arthritis in cervical spine and are pinching an upper cervical nerve branch. That can trigger spasm in frontal is muscle leading to headache. Need an exam and x-ray then likely pt or chiropractic to help relieve it.
