A 17-year-old male asked:
How long does it take to get an esophageal ulcer from gerd? 3 months? a year? several years?

Unknown: Since everybody is different, and gerd is complex, it is not known the exact time it takes to develop an ulcer in the esophagus from gerd. Depends on the severity, of gerd, your natural defense mechanisms to injury, diet, smoking, immune status, etc. Could be weeks, months, or years. Hope this helps!
