Back: The most common cause is a disk or back injury at your age. Other less common problems for a women your age include syringomyelia, inherited disk diseases, infections, scoliosis, and certain types of arthritis ( especially a group called seronegative spondyloarthropathies). Best bet is to see your family doc or a rheumatologist to get it checked out.
