Yes: Generally it is better to have a diagnosis before getting the steroid injection if you already had surgery doe and know the diagnosis then it is ok to skip the MRI or ct scan. If you are truely allergic to the medication you can not have the medication but lot of time peoplecan nottolerate the carrier medication in the preparation so you have to talk to your doctor if an alternative is available.
