had depo-provera medrol (methylprednisolone) shot about 2weeks ago, can that cause low wbc and low platelet count? wbc is 2.8 and platelet is 139. also fighting viral infection.

No: No it cannot. If anything, it may cause a mild increase in the white cells.

I do not know: That is a question i cannot answer. I would never advise an epidural injection for pain issues without an MRI first.
