X does treat PE ; DV: According to your history you do not have a deep vein thrombosis nor a pulmonary embolus and therefore use of xarelto in your case would only risk bleeding complications. Xarelto inhibits one of the coagulation proteins. Would suggest working with your doctor to check for deep vein thrombosis with venous doppler and lung scan for pulmonary embolus before considering xarelto or use of anticoagulant.
