Currently take 10 mg of lexapro (escitalopram). went out drinking last night and had 4 light beers while golfing today. feel very anxious and like i have to force myelf to breathe. could there be a medical issue?

Well - you have: Generalized anxiety disorder. Didn't your prescribing medical provider tell you not to drink when taking Lexapro (escitalopram) or other ssri's?

Somewhat: We do not normally suggest you mix alcohol with antidepressant medication. That combination doesn't mix well. Alcohol by nature is a depressant and, if you are already taking them into depressant, you do not need anything else to depress you.
