Cystitis : Cystitis in a sexually active female can be a recurring problem. Preventative measures would include staying well hydrated, voiding after intercourse and possibly drinking cranberry juice to reduce the incidence of bacterial adherence to your bladder following intercourse.

Bladder infections: Can sometimes be prevented by taking cranberry pills or juice on a regular basis, urinating after intercourse and of course wiping from front to back after urinating. If you have frequent urinary tract infections you should see your doctor who may recommend a prophylactic antibiotic. Good luck!
