They are not proven: to do anything. Furthermore, even if they DID work, they wouldn't be changing the underlying situation and when they were stopped, the obesity would come right back. better is realizing the cues/triggers/emotions/habits/situations that trigger eating http://www.amazon.com/dp/0692496157/

California?: Assuming we are not talking about a land from an indiana jones movie, then you want to use a combo of meds. Topiramate and Phentermine leads to >10% weight loss at one year in a majority of persons begun on it.

DRINK WATER: Drinking water before you eat has been shown to suppress appetite. Also whenever you feel like snacking try hydrating with a low calorie beverage because 'mild hunger pains' may actually be a signal that you need to drink fluids.

The absolute best natural appetite suppressant that I have found in my 15 years of practicing Bariatrics (weight loss medicine) is food! It is what you eat that becomes critical and that it is of high quality and is satisfying to the gut and the brain. This is what I teach all of my patient through a concept called a Sneal.

Appetite drops: Most are worthless. So work on better ways to lose weight. Like eat less, exercise more. Simple in concept, difficult in execution. Would get myfitnesspal app and track calories to see where they are coming from and how much you burn with exercise.
