Pathology 44 years experience
A great unknown: It's very hard to identify true magnsium deficiency by lab work in people not otherwise ill, since most of the body's magnesium is inside the cells. It's unknown how blood levels vary with total body content. Pathologists have discussed this for decades and reached no conclusions. You're wise simply to eat sensibly, getting enough green vegetables.
