Pnuemococcal vaccine: Excellent question. Current recommendation is that if first dose was given before age 55, 1 additional booster dose given after 5 years. Otherwise, no booster dose needed. Kids are a little different because there are 2 types of vaccine used in some kids who are high risk for disease (like if they have sickle cell, no spleen). Then they get vaccine as infant, and the "adult" vaccine after age 2.
