Botox can be helpful: Botox is a neurotoxin that causes relaxation of the muscle. It is helpful in many different cases to relax over active muscles and erase wrinkles caused by contraction of muscles. Muscle tension headaches, migraine headaches, TMJ pain, crows feet, forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines, bunny lines can all be improved with little to no discomfort. It is not immediate but takes 4-5 days.

Yes: Botox is a purified protein that is used to soften wrinkles of the forehead and those on the outer lids (crows feet). Ideally, the muscular motion that contribute to these lines will be softened leaving a relaxed and pretty appearance. Good Botox should still allow some animation. www.artofplasticsurgery.com

Nope, it's great!: Botox can do amazing things for right patient, the right dose and in the hands of an experienced injector. It can only be used to treat wrinkles that form as a result of muscle contraction, because it works by relaxing the muscles. With a good injector you can avoid the plastic/frozen look for a very natural looking wrinkle reduction.

Purified toxin: Botox is the brand name for onabotulinumtoxin a which is made and marketed by allergan. There are other types of onabotulinumtoxin available. Basically, its an ultrapurified derivative of the bacteria clostridium botulinum that is used to treat many medical and aesthetic conditions.
