i got drunk for the first time on vodka & now i can't even stand the smell of alcohol, it makes me want to throw up will the reaction ever go away?

Maybe, but why?: Saves money, saves excess calories, prevents reckless behaviors. No one "has to have" alcohol in their diet or life. If the revulsion passes, ok, drink in moderation to prevent second occurrence. If not, remind yourself of the positives.
