A 30-year-old member asked:
Where can I buy viscous lidocaine?
1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in

Dr. Tito Vasquez answered

Medical supply: Viscous Lidocaine is obtained from pharmacies or medical supply companies. I would be cautious of using lidocaine, which is a medication that has potential side effects and toxic effects if not used properly. Toxic levels of Lidocaine can cause seizures, heart arrhythmias, and even death.

Same drug: Viscous Lidocaine contains 2% Lidocaine whereas regular Lidocaine is supplied in various concentrations depending on useage. Viscous form is for intra oral anesthesia topically and contains methyl paraben and propyl paraben and sodium carboxymethylcelluloae to adjust the viscosity.
