Lichen planus: This is a skin and often oral rash. Cause not really known but acts like an allergy. Causes white scalely areas that itch. In mouth may cause ulcerative areas, straie, plaques. Often tried by steriods an d topical pain meds. See your doctor for referral...Skin to a dermatoogist; oral to a dentist who trained with oral diseases, such as oral medicine.
