See foot doc: So he can take an x-ray. Maybe, you have. Fractured toe that won't heal cause you keep running on it.

Maybe: If there is a biomechanical cause that if left uncorrected can lead to progression of deformity. If injury caused this, if not healed fully or properly, then yes.
