Can buspirone help depression?

Don't expect it to: Buspar (buspirone) helps with generalized anxiety. It does not typically work as an antidepressant . It can augment the action of many antidepressants when it is used together with an antidepressant; that can be a useful strategy for a difficult to treat depression.
