See details: Enbrel (etanercept) is an incredibly effective therapy for several types of inflammatory arthritis. The risks are low with infection the most common one. The benefits far outweigh the risks as it prevents joint damage. Discuss your fears with your rheumatologist.

Potentially: Enbrel (etanercept) is in a class of drugs that can treat diseases such as ra.. But it does have potential side effects such as serious infections. It can reacitivate TB so your doctor must do appropriate tests before you start the medication. The biologics can cause an increase in skin cancers. Also headaches, skin rashes, and local injection reactions can occur. Talk to your doctor, read about the med.
