Anything you can tell me about meningococcal disease?

It's bad: Don't get it. It is caused by neisseria menigitides and can seem like a simple flu but can progress rapidly to severe disease and death. It is not common...Maybe 1/100, 00 in general population. It is aggressive and scary and more common in crowded situations like dormitories and barracks. Menveo or Menactra is the vaccine to help prevent it.
