Femoral neck fractur: These fractures require surgery. If the fracture is lined up well and not displaced then screws can be inserted to stabilize the bone. Otherwise, if the fracture is displaced a hip replacement needs to be performed.

Depends: If this person is ambulatory prior to the fracture and has high cognitive functioning, then would proceed for the procedure. If this person is non-ambulatory, is on hospice, has speading cancer to the bone or has very high risk due to severe heart or lung condition, then do not proceed it. Please check with physicians.
