Which treatments are best for a woman over age 80 with femoral neck fractures?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Gregory Harvey
37 years experience in Orthopedic Surgery
Femoral neck fractur: These fractures require surgery. If the fracture is lined up well and not displaced then screws can be inserted to stabilize the bone. Otherwise, if the fracture is displaced a hip replacement needs to be performed.
