i want to know what's the main cause of meningioma?

Not known: The cause for most tumors in humans are not known or obvious. It is simply an error of cell growth and cell division which leads to excess of cell production which results in formation of abnormal growths/tumors.

Agree with above.: I completely agree with the above. The "main" cause of meningiomas is unknown. Meningiomas are like warts. They are just warts in a particularly unfortunate location.
We do know, though, that radiation exposure can cause meningiomas later in life, and that growth hormone supplementation in childhood can do the same.

What the difference between schwannoma and meningioma?
3 doctor answers • 6 doctors weighed in

Dr. Ritesh Rathore answered

Very different: Schwannomas are tumors of the nerve sheaths and are located outside the brain. Meningiomas are tumors of the lining of the brain and the spinal cord and not related to nerves at all. Schwannoimas require intial surgery for management typically while meningiomas can be removed by surgery or given radiation if no surgery is possible. Both are usually not cancerous.
