Yeast sites vary: Yeast infections usually occur in the oral passages, vagina, foreskin and penis, and in the skin where there are creases( armpits, groin, breasts). Taking antibiotics kills the good bacteria allowing the yeast to grow. High blood sugar and taking cortisone type medications also favor yeast growth. Yeast can be transmitted during sexual actvity as well. Warm moist areas favor yeast growth.

Various causes..: Although controversial, evidence have shown that tight dark clothing, non cotton underwear, poor hygiene, moist area have been associated. In diabetics poor blood sugar control may trigger yeast infections.
