Yeast sites vary: Yeast infections usually occur in the oral passages, vagina, foreskin and penis, and in the skin where there are creases( armpits, groin, breasts). Taking antibiotics kills the good bacteria allowing the yeast to grow. High blood sugar and taking cortisone type medications also favor yeast growth. Yeast can be transmitted during sexual actvity as well. Warm moist areas favor yeast growth.
