Disinhibition ; more: One of alcohol's many effects is its ability to disinhibit behavior. This is why you might do things when drunk that you might ordinarily not do. Your cerebral cortex normally keeps you tapped into social decorum -- but when you drink, you go back to lizard brain behavior -- you want what you want when you want it, and get mad when anything interrupts this.
