Is it safe to gargle with listerine while you have the hiccups?

Not good idea: Hiccups are not under your control so if you are gargling you may get in your lungs ie aspirate.
Dr. James Beck
Dentistry 11 years experience
Not really: Probably not a good idea because you could swallow or choke on it. Wait till the hiccups go away.
