help docs! my gums are swollen, what could this be?

Many reasons. : Gum inflammations could be due to many reasons. The most plausible factor is the inadequate homecare ; oral hygiene. If the gum inflammation sustained in deeper tissues after a while, then you might have a more severe periodontal disease. Since there are other factors that can cause gum inflammation as well, you need to see your dentist asap. He might choose to refer you to a periodontist later
