YES!: The hib vaccine protects babies and infants against a type of bacteria which can cause meningitis and death. When i started my medical training, it was a fairly common, and serious, infection. Due to the success of the vaccine, it is now uncommon. H1n1 is a part of the influenza vaccine which keeps patients from getting the seasonal flu and should be given to all people over 6 months of age.
