Does gymnastics prevent or delay growth spurt?

Gymnastics: It depends on the degree. Significant time each day ie 4 hrs or more may lead to delayed signals to the ovary from the pituitary gland. Also - the body needs a certain amount of fat mass to have normal cycles. Growth may be delayed or stunted. Check a bone age x -ray to tell how much time left before growth plates close.
