2 1/2 weeks post bunionectomy, osteotemy , dislocation repair. the skin around the incision area is peeling off in big pieces. is that normal?

Peeling: It is a bit unusual that the skin is peeling off in big pieces to use your words. My worry would be infection or suture reaction , but you did not mention redness or warmth. Always see your surgeon for this and any other concerns - it's the right thing to do

Yes: yes it is ok, simply do not try to peel it yourself. your wound is healed by now any problem, always check with your surgeon.
