Uncertain: Addison's disease is a rare disorder. Most patients who are diagnosed have had symptoms for a number of years before the diagnosis. However, once treated, most people return to normal (though they require lifelong medication to stay normal). However, since it is an autoimmune disorder, one needs to look for other associated autoimmune disorders such as pernicious anemia, hypothyroidism, celiac.

This is very good advice. Once Addison's is diagnosed and effectively treated, you can expect to do well on lifelong treatment -- and do be vigilant for the other autoimune troubles that run with it.
