Hi, i have an eye bump in my right eye upper lid. it appeared before 2-3 mnths wid pain n irritaion.now no pain n irritation. hw to cure it, please help?

Chalazion: You had a stye which your body tried to eliminate. Mostly that is successful but occasionally instead of removing it, it surrounds it with an impermeable cyst wall which prevents any further inflammation. If small, you can ignore it but if large, you might want it removed (only for appearance sake as it will do no harm). See your ophthalmologist for removal (cannot be done by an optometrist).

Warm compresses: Warm compresses (wash cloth with hot water and hold it on the stye for 5-10 minutes, reheating as needed), or surgical incision and drainage, or steroid have been the only effective treatments demonstrated get rid of a stye. A stye is due to the orifice of an oil gland (mebomian gland) in the eyelid margin becoming inflamed, and not an infection, so antibiotics are not indicated.
