Yes: Ultrasound can usually detect an enlarged liver. 15 cm is not particularly large since the liver is a large organ. Most of us are not aware of it because it is protected by the rib cage. If you lay down, relax your abdomen, put your fingers under the bottom portion of the rib cage and take a deep breath you should not feel your liver. If you do and it feels hard you should see your doctor.

Only if: Massively enlarged. Otherwise, without knowing that it was smaller before would you know its enlarged. 15cm is one of 3 dimensions, but does not sound so big.
