I have been treated for shingles on my scalp. Symptoms for 8 months, with 1 small sore i just finished my prescription. Would this cause my hair to have tons of lint?I am constantly combing out fibers

See details: I doubt this is shingles after 8 months. See a dermatologist. It sound more like psoriasis or eczema.
