See eye doctor: Try using artificial tears four times a day. You can buy them at the grocery store without prescription. Don't use drops that say get the red out. Take oral omega three fatty acid pills like fish oil or flax seed oil to make more oil lubrication for your tears. Make an appointment to see your eye doctor.

Dry eye: Your description sounds like dry eye. Try artificial tears, warm compresses, and fish oil supplements. If no resolution, go see an eye doctor.
