80 is normal.: If is still possible to have elevations of glucose above the normal range after meals (postprandially) but generally a blood sugar of 80 would suggest you are normal. In most labs, a fasting plasma glucose of greater than 99 is required for an at risk for diabetes diagnosis or if significantly high, for diabetes diagnosis.

Not at all: Hi. A normal glucose doesn't exclude diabetes! Most of my diabetic patients have LOTS of normal glucoses because they're well controlled! Even if you're on NO diabetes meds, depending on the stage of the diabetes, blood glucose can fluctuate between high and normal. Diagnose diabetes by ABNORMALITY in fasting glucose, random glucose, A1c, and glucose tolerance test (all with their own criteria).

Blood sugar 80: I assume you are not taking any diabetes medications and based on the number 80 you don't have diabetes. Are you or your doctor checking your blood sugar? Unless you change your diet and your blood sugar is about the same as you report consider yourself lucky and enjoy life.
