light pinching pain in abdomen, side, and back during early pregnancy is this normal or should i be concerned?

Likely normal: It is still best to ask your OB and for explanation and a good exam. As the uterus rises, like any tissue, it causes discomfort and pressures on surrounding tissues even the bladder. It is affixed by the broad ligament which has nerves there and as there is stretch, there is discomfort. I hope my explanation helps, but ask your doctor please.
