Not likely except : That with the pain he may have had a decrease in appetite or as he was immobile, less visits to the refrigerator or his favorite places to eat! as long as he is improving there is no alarm but if not and still losing weight, he may need a more thou rough evaluation to make sure there is not anything else going on other than a slipped disc.
