INFECTION: Fever is reaction of our immune system in response to an infection. Many times, fever come with shivering and goes with sweating. Your daughter has a throat infection, she is on antibiotic after evaluation by her pediatrician, i assume. It takes 24 to 48 hours, sometimes longer, for antibiotic to start working. So, not to worry. Make sure she is drinking a lot of fluid.
