help! can asthma be treated and cured?

Yes and No: Asthma most definately can be treated. One's pcp working with a board certified allergist or pulmonologist can devise a treatment plan that can treat your asthma. Curing one's asthma is probably a stretch at this point. What is becoming clear is that there are numerous different types of asthma so to make the broad statement of cure is probably not appropriate.

I have seen patients whose asthma has gone under remission for many years after a course of allergy shots. However no one knows whether the remission will be permanent and the actual % of people whose asthma have remitted requires further studies.

Yes: Asthma needs to be completely evaluated. It is treated very well with right medication and can be cured if treated right and doc. Advise followed.
