Nothing to be done: You'll either get it or you won't, but there's nothing you can do about it now. If you get it, you 'll get sick, and then you'll recover. Live and learn!

Salmonella: Agree with Dr. Gallant. Hydrate well. Most of the time, no treatment is required for Salmonellosis. Oral hydration is important. Antibiotics may be used for at risk individuals (such as infants < 3 months old) or if complications arise. IV hydration is sometimes indicated.

Duh!!!: You don't need to know because it will not help you care for yourself. Only if you are writing a research paper. For chronic pain begin a self-care with a wellness program of vits, magnesium glycinate, sleep hygiene, exercise, self massage, chiropractor, yoga, heat, epsom tub soaking, stretching all are needed. In my practice I use acupuncture and myofascial tissue release.

How painful is an emg (electromyogram) test?

Mild?: Emg needles vary in size; the monopolar needles quite small, even close to acupuncture size, and the coaxial needles quite larger in comparison. Any size needle may leave a small painful bruise. The electrical shocks will make a limb jump, and may be irritating. Thus, pain may be secondary to choice of technique, but also, due to anxiety level in the patient. Pain usually mild, well tolerated.
