Are there herbal treatment option for curing alcoholism?

No: Most substance abuse experts would state that there is no "cure" for alcoholism except abstinence. I am unaware of any herbal preparations that help on a reliable basis. There are prescription medications that are fda approved to assist with abstinence from alcohol.

Not reliably: Some folks believe that if they take an "herb" or something "natural, " that translates into the substance being safe. Nothing could be further from the truth. All herbs are not safe. Many plant derived substances are in fact poisonous. Medications which are fda approved have been tested and proven to be both safe and effective. Herbs at health food stores aren't proven to be safe or effective.

Herbs/alcohol: There are safe & well-studied herbs for many conditions, although to my knowledge, no one exists for alcoholism per se.
