I been having knee problems for the past 4-5 years it starts with swelling, then a stabbing pain. X-rays and MRI comes normal but why i feel pain?

Patellofemoral : Patellofemoral syndrome is a common problem in your age. Other diagnoses may be related to a rheumatic (connective tissue) disorders. You need to see a rheumatologist and/or sports medicine specialist.
